About the Portal
On average you spend 10 minutes a day to look for your mobile phone, keys or other misplaced items (i.e., 2.5 days per year)
$7 million worth of mobile phones are lost every day around the world
Two third of loss takes place between 9:00pm and 2:00am
In USA, 4 mobile phones are lost every day as people accidentally drop them into the Niagara Falls!
Nomophobia (short for "no mobile phobia") is a word for the fear of, or anxiety caused by, not having a working mobile phone. It has been considered a symptom or syndrome of problematic digital media use in mental health, the definitions of which are not standardized.
So this portal is an initiative of Paschim Medinipur District Police to quickly facilitate the lost mobile phone complainants.
